Zanjan Local SchoolNet Conference iEARN
activities

A Schoolnet conference was held in Zanjan, April 29-30, 2004. The
conference was an opportunity for teachers and students to become
familiar with iEARN programs, along with its mission and vision. In
an iEARN workshop for beginners participants worked on registration
and learned how to take part in collaborative projects.

During this
conference, a group of students from Zanjan schools demonstrated
their activities in iEARN projects. |

iEARN-Iran Youth Group meeting
iEARN-Iran Youth Group meeting was held on 20th
Ordibehesht (9th May) . They organized themselves in several Groups:

International online projects in Kherad high
school Kherad high school
students, had a stand in their annual exhibition named “International online
projects”. They presented their activities in iEARN and ENO projects in
English. The most interesting part for visitors was preparing national food
and Video conference with students and teachers from Finland.

"My dream World" and
"Astronomy" in Farzanegan Middle school
In April 29-30, Farzanegan middle
school students presented successful projects in computer science and
ICT in their annul exhibition. The presentations included some iEARN
projects such as "My Dream Word" and "Astronomy".

8th Annual Iranina Schoolnet-iEARN Conference,
Held in Nayshabour iEARN-Iran
conducted a series of iEARN workshops and presentation in the
conference. Participants were administrators, educators and students
from various regions of Iran as well as foreign countries. Dr.Sunita
Bhagwat, iEARN India Coordinator, participated and presented a
workshop on the activities of iEARN in India during the course of
the conference. The attendees were provided with an opportunity to
learn what iEARN is, iEARN goals, iEARN history and the impact of
iEARN in helping students promote friendship and knowledge on a
national and international level. Two students from Farzanegan
Zeynab School illustrated how iEARN projects are used in their
classroom and showed samples of their work on "Learning Circles" and
"Folk Tales" Projects.

A report on Iranian delegation activities in the 12th
annual iEARN
Conference held in Dakar, Senegal was
also presented. Then the iEARN
newcomers explored
the website to get information about iEARN
projects
and learn how to register for iEARN Interactive Forums.
