The 3rd
iEARN Iran workshop
The 3rd iEARN Iran gathering was held during the 6th annual SchoolNet
Conference in Shohaday-e-karegar High School on December18, 2003.
Participants at this gathering were administrators, educators and
students from Tehran and some other cities like Broujerd, Rafsanjan,
Ahvaz, Zanjan, Yazd, Semnan, Shahrood, Babol, Isfahan and Kashan. |

|
|
|
During this two hour workshop Ms. Shamsnia,
Ms.Shirazi and iEARN Iran coordinators provided the participants with
opportunity to understand the overall objects of iEARN, learn how to
register themselves and their students for iEARN Interactive Forums,
learn read and post messages on iEARN Interactive Forums and become
familiar with iEARN Iran expectations.
Then participants talked about their restrictions and experiences and
several experienced educators made suggestions on how to motivate the
students and integrate collaborative projects into the classrooms. |
|
|
|
Participants from boy high schools discussed the
differences in boys’ interests and the university entrance exam
problems. This was followed in iEARN Iran youth session. The discussion
outcome pointed out that emphasizing on university degrees and not being
well equipped for future, the youth can’t lead a successful life.
Participating in projects such as iEARN empowers the youth to
communicate with students and peers from Iran and all over the world,
work collaboratively, gain skills, knowledge, and attitudes for future
and make their social and professional activities more successful.
