the exact way of collecting proverbs is to write them in some discussions in our forum and then to compare them we can go in the forum with our user names and passwords and then we can give us our suggestions to each other !

Hello!My name is Nargiz(Do u remember me;)).Now I'm there with the new proverbs about the dogs.Because I like the dogs (I have funny 2 dogs) and I'd like to share with you the proverbs about them.
Dog doesn't eat dog.
Dog in the manger.
Dogs bark,but the caravan goes back.(There is another proverb with
the same meaning : The moon doesn't need the barking dog; what does the moon
care if the dog bark at her?)
Dog smells his own first.
Dogs that bark at a distance don't bite a hand.
Dogs that put up many hares kill none.
Dog that fetches will carry.
Dog that trots about find a bond.
Dog will not cry if you beat him with a bone

We have a common saying in our country," when the mayor's dog dies all
people cry, but when the mayor dies nobody cries .It conveys a very important
social behavior . through which people show false feelings towards important
people. They show grief, sympathy and love and happiness according to the
occasion . People do that out of either seeking to their own benefits or feeling
afraid
This behavior is
widely spreading in the oriental society , especially in rural communities. So
the outcome is a sort of submission from poor classes to those of power
and authority .
In my opinion all
people should treat each other in an equal way as we are all humans and have the
same rights and duties . We should have an effective role to face and denounce
such a social attitude which depends mainly on personal objects .

We live in aggressive world and many people try to fortify their
position.Sometimes with any method.
Let's look how there are many aggressive sentenses contain verb
"push":
*to push one's luck - to tempt destiny
*to push one's way - to squere through crowd<to clear road
*to push someone to the wall - to finish excessively
The verb "to pull" and sentenses where we can meet it are connected
with pain,grief,sadness.
*to pull somebody's leg - to fool smb.
*to pull a face - to grimase,to represent discontent
*to pull to pieces - break off on pieces
*to pull oneself together - to take oneself in hands

Hi! everyone. In my opinion the most wonderful and effective principle in
life is the proverb that says ''Do as you would be done by''.
Your behavior towards others shows people what you are
really like, whether grown up and well balanced or infantile. Here there are
some situations which show up your personality. You have arranged an outing.
Friends have promised to call for you. They do not arrive. If you are
chilish,you lose your temper and decide to finish with them. But if you are
well-balanced, your first thought is that something might have happened, and you
are concerned about your friends not yourself. If they happen to be unrealizable
,you decide not to depend on them again.
You go to a party. The evening is a success if you are a
success. If you are bored and depressed, you cannot expect people to find you
are interesting. People want laugher, not tears ''Laugh and the world laughs
with you, weep and you weep alone.''
A friend seeks your advice. Don't say ''Yes'' when you
think he wants you to say ''Yes'', and ''No'' when he wants you to say ''No''.
You ought to give him your honest opinion.
You make a bad mistake. Don't blame circumstances or
other people, To err is human .On the face of it, this proverb comprises many
laws of life. It also indicates that one should be honest and true to himself.

Hi all!!.
My name is Fernanda, I'm from the south of Argentina .I was invited to
participate in this project about proverbs by Elham. To begin with, I would like
to share with you one proverb from the north of my country.
Here is the Spanish version: "De a uno se junta el mistol". Which in
English would be something like, "slowly, one by one you make the whole
thing". You see, a "mistol" is a very small fruit that you take
it from the floor not from the top of the tree, you have to wait until the fruit
is ripe and on the floor.
So, the explanation for this would be that if you want to reach your objectives
you have to be perseverant.
Well ,I hope you enjoy it. I'll look for some more .Bye.
